Chosen Ones

Chosen Ones started in a North Buffalo basement during the winter of 2008 between long time friends Ruben Lipkind and Benjamin Bailey. Sharing a mutual love and respect for punk rock music, the duo began writing the songs that would become the first self-released demo. With the addition of Neal Brodfuehrer on guitar and Chris Gajewski on drums, the band started playing local and regional shows. The legendary Mohawk Place in downtown Buffalo NY quickly became their home away from home. The band released their first 7” on Reaper Records in 2010. It featured 3 original songs and a cover of “Suspect Device” by Stiff Little Fingers. A fun version of “White Christmas” was recorded for the “Cashing In On Christmas” LP compilation released in 2011 on Black Hole Records. “Lafayette” was released as a new single in 2012 from German based Randale Records. The “Hooligan Classics Vol. 1” double split 7” also featured Old Firm Casuals, Control and On File. 2012 also saw the recording of the bands first album “They Called Your Number”. 12 new songs of genuine punk rock. The record deals with loss, anger, frustration, paranoia and heartbreak. “They Called Your Number” is available now from Reaper Records and Itunes. Having already played with Street Dogs, Bouncing Souls, H20, The Business, GBH, Murphy’s Law, TSOL, Agnostic Front and Rancid, the band continues to play regionally and will tour the US and Europe throghout 2013.
